English Camp!

皆さん、こんにちは。

表現学部１年生の「光とことばのフェスティバル」のあと、英コミでは２年生の英語合宿を行いました。　埼玉県にある「国立女性教育会館」で２泊３日で行った合宿は、もちろん ”All English”。　英コミの教員３名とLeviに加え、ニュージーランド人のMarcusが特別参加してくれました。MarcusはLeviの友だちで、ふたりは子どもたちに身体を動かしながら楽しく英語を身につけてもらうという活動を一緒にしている仲間です。

初日午後は、そんなMarcusとLeviによるワクワクするワークショップを英コミの２年生たちは思い切り楽しみました。どんな内容だったかは、下のLeviの英文と写真からご想像ください。楽しそうでしょ？

２日目は午前中、”英語でCooking”！　できあがった４種類のinternational dishesで、全員で昼食にし、午後はゲームをとおして、さらに英語を話す時間をもちました。その日の夜からは次の日のグループ・プレゼンテーションの準備にかかり、各グループがひとつの新製品を考案し、売りこむというテーマで奮闘し、最終日の素晴らしいプレゼンテーションになりました。

２泊３日、日本語厳禁の合宿を頑張った英コミ２年生たち！こんな経験を皆さんもいかがですか？

Hi Everyone,

After this year's 光とことばのフェスティバル, the English Teachers and I went to Saitama with the English Communication Course sophomores.  We had an English camp for three days at the National Women's Education Center.  It was a lot of fun!

Marcus Brock from ZP Training came as a special guest and introduced us to lots of fun activities.  We did teamwork games, blindfold taste testing, western versions of 鬼ごっこ, and a photo scavenger hunt.  Of course, we spoke English the whole time.

Students also worked on presentation skills.  At the end of the camp, groups of students made presentations on a product that they invented.  They created e-readers, TVs, smartphones and music players, each with a special new feature. 

We had a great time!
