Graduation Thesis Time!!

皆さん、こんにちは。

　12月、大正大学の4年生は学生生活の締めくくりとして卒業論文を提出します。英コミの学生たちも各自の掲げたテーマに一生懸命取り組み、成果をまとめ上げています。いろいろと興味深いテーマがそろっているので、そのうちのいくつかをご紹介します。

　皆さんは世界中の人にとって虹は七色だと思いますか。実は違います。ひとりの学生は虹の色が世界のあちこちでどのようにとらえられているかをテーマにしました。また、今回の震災に対し、その最中とあとで、日本人がどのように反応、対応したかについて書いた学生もいます。さらに、あのキティちゃんをとりあげ、”Hello Kitty”と”カワイイ”という日本のポップ・カルチャーについて書いた学生もいます。

　どうでしょう。卒論っていうと何だか硬くて難しそうというイメージがあるかもしれません。でも、英コミの学生たちの卒論、興味をひかれませんか。4年生のみなさん、努力の成果が形になって、達成感ありますね！　私たち教員も皆さんの努力、誇らしく思います。

 Hi Everyone,

    This school year is coming to a close for the senior students here at Taisho University.  We in the Department of Communication and Culture are very proud of all the students who worked so hard.
     Some of the English Communication Course students have written some
wonderful graduation theses. One of our students wrote about how people around the world perceive rainbows.  Another thesis was on the reactions of the Japanese during and after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.  A third one was about Hello Kitty and kawaii culture.
    The students put lots of effort into their research and created some great papers!
